Weather Cancellations - Anytime the City of Buffalo or Ken-Ton School Districts are closed our training center will be closed.


Registration closes 48 hours prior to the start of each course. Classes indicating "CLOSED" mean simply that registration has been closed. Not that the class has been cancelled. Unless otherwise noted all classes are American Heart Association. A two person minimum must now be met for all classes.

    ACLS is an advanced, instructor-led classroom course that highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care and immediate post-cardiac-arrest care. It also covers airway management and related pharmacology. In this course, skills are taught in large, group sessions and small, group learning and testing stations where case-based scenarios are presented.

    • You will be issued a ACLS card by C4CME | WNYEMS | HVA | Lonestar CPR | EMS Region 1 (on behalf of the AHA) which is valid for two (2) years. Completion cards will be issued upon successful course completion.
    • Completion cards will be mailed to the address you provide at registration.

    The Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Classroom Course by The American Heart Association is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. Covers adult, child,& infant.

    Audience: This course is for healthcare professionals who need to know how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills, in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.

    Course Length: 4.0 hours

    Course Fee:  $30.00 (Buffalo/Kenmore)    $40.00 (Rochester/Brighton)

      • As per the AHA a textbook is required and may be purchased in advance from Laerdal, Channing Bete, Worldpoint, Amazon, AbeBooks or in person at Barnes & Noble.
      • Books will also be available at the course location.

    Select below for online classes with classroom skill sessions

      To renew certification through the CHALLENGE, all steps of the AHA BLS sequence with adult and infant CPR must be performed correctly with a score of 85% or above on our skill test manikin. In addition to scoring, the Challenge ends at the first mistake made. The written test must have a passing score missing no more than three questions. Failed Challenges cannot reattempt or sign up again at a later date to reattempt, but rather be referred to an AHA traditional class or an AHA online course with an associated skills check. There are no refunds for failed performances or discounts for classes.

      You MUST have a current valid AHA BLS card. 

      Those with expired certification cards are not eligible. A valid card must be presented at time of appointment. Enrolling in this course without a valid card will result in a $15 fee if you choose to enroll in another course. 

       

      Audience: This course is for the EXPERIENCED healthcare professionals who knows how to perform CPR both in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.

      Select below for online classes with classroom skill sessions

        This Skills Session is for students who have completed the online portion of the Heartcode® BLS for Healthcare Providers course. It involves a brief practice session followed by a check of the student's skill at performing 1- and 2-rescuer CPR for an adult and infant. Most Skills Sessions last between 60 & 120 minutes. Please note it is often quicker and much cheaper to attend the traditional course.

         

        AUDIENCE: This course is for healthcare professionals who need to know how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills, in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.

        Course Length: 2.0 hours

          The American Heart Association’s Heartsaver First Aid course effectively delivers the most comprehensive first aid training in the industry. This class is tailored to both employees of local companies as well as the general public.

          Topics covered include first aid management of common medical conditions including chest pain, bleeding, shortness of breath, stroke and diabetes. 

          AUDIENCE: All / Anyone

          Class Length: 3.5 hours

          Course Fee:  $25.00

          • A textbook is required and may be purchased in advance from C4CME or at the time of the class for $15. Textbooks may also be purchased online in advance through these distributors: Laerdal, Channing Bete, Worldpoint.

          The American Heart Association Heartsaver First-aid/CPR/AED class covers the following Adult based First Aid topics: bleeding control, seizures, epi pen use, allergic reactions, snake bites, broken bones, poisoning. It also includes CPR for Adults, chokesaving, how to use an AED (automated external defibrillators), and other life threatening emergencies. Hands-Only infant CPR & Choking included, however certification is Adult Only. This course is for renewing, recertification, or initial students. There are not any official lunch breaks in this course but there will be breaks on the hour.

          Audience: All / Anyone (Not for Healthcare, Coaches or Childcare)

          Course Length: 5.0 hours

          Course Fee:  $40.00

          The Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR and AED course is a credentialed course specially designed to train those responsible for children's health in meeting state-specific requirements. This course is backed by comprehensive state-by-state research, and is formatted to allow instructors to customize it to include all topics required. Course modules cover CPR, AED, first-aid basics, medical emergencies, injury emergencies, environmental emergencies, and optional topics.

          AUDIENCE: This course is for education and child-care professionals, recreation and community program staff, new parents, guardians, and other caretakers dealing directly with children and infants.

          Course Length: 5.0 hours

          Course Fee:  $50.00

          EIP Approved Course - Includes Textbook

            The American Heart Association Heartsaver First-aid/CPR/AED class covers the following topics: bleeding control, seizures, epi pen use, allergic reactions, snake bites, broken bones, poisoning, CPR for adults, children, and infants, chokesaving, how to use an AED (automated external defibrillators), and other life threatening emergencies. This course is for renewing, recertification, or initial students. There are not any official lunch breaks in this course but there will be breaks on the hour. This course is modified to meet the requirements for both NYS and Pro-Board Firefighter 1 training. This course is NOT meant for the general public.

            Audience: Firefighter Candidates

            Course Length: 5.0 hours

            Course Fee:  $30.00 ($15/$15)

                Replacement Card Policy:

                We understand that sometimes people lose their card or your card becomes lost, or gets stolen. We have a solution. You can now have an "original" replacement card sent to you by filling out our replacement card form. You can order your "replacement" card 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

                You must have taken your ACLS/BLS/PALS course with us in Arizona, New York or Texas. If you did not, please contact the training center where you took your original class.

                Use our replacement form below, and get your card replaced soon.

                Please allow 1-2 business days for card processing. Card processing will start once we receive your payment. Requests made after normal business hours, will be handled the next business day.
